Mexico Standard Auto Insurance Coverage
Liability insurance is required by law on all Mexican federal roadways and is the minimum insurance requirement for drivers in Mexico. Mexpro's standard Mexico auto insurance policies provide liability coverage, as well as physical damage coverage. Though the coverage is not as extensive as a premium, full coverage policy, it gives you physical damage coverage at a lower price.
If our policies were categorized as 'Good,' 'Better,' 'Best,' our standard coverage policy would be the 'Better' option. With Mexpro's standard policy you'll get physical damage with a liability limit of $300,000 or $500,000 (you choose), medical payments, legal & travel assistance, and total theft coverage.
Mexpro's Standard Mexico Auto Insurance Coverage Includes:
Third Party Liability Coverage
Covers injuries to other people and property. Choose a liability limit of $300,000 or $500,000 USD.
Physical Damage
Collison and turnover coverage with a $500 deductible ($2000 for ATV/UTV).
Medical Payments
Covers you and the occupants of your vehicle when injured in an accident.
Legal Assistance /
Bail Bond
Policy includes guaranteed bail and legal assistance; liability limit depends on the insurer.
Travel / Roadside Assistance
MexVisit® travel assistance includes travel, roadside, legal, and medical assistance.
Total Theft
Deductible is $1000 ($2000 ATV/UTV)
Glass Breakage
Deductible is 20% of the damages.
Liability Insurance
Mexican vehicle insurance laws have evolved to more closely resemble those in the U.S. Much higher liability limits are now required, and they vary by state. For this reason, Mexpro recommends having the maximum liability limit of $500,000.
